He also holds an MBA from UC San Diego with a focus on disruptive medical technology and co-founded a digital health company later adopted by Apple.
Prior to joining Ideal Plastic Surgery, Dr. Wilensky spent 16 years providing hospital-based care in reconstructive surgery, trauma, burns, and hand surgery at institutions including Palomar Health (a Mayo Clinic affiliate) and Scripps Health.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Wilensky is committed to communicating clearly and compassionately with a diverse patient population.
Outside of his surgical work, he is an avid mountaineer who has climbed Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, and Denali (Mt. McKinley), and completed multiple Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim endurance treks across the Grand Canyon. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
