Dr. Pirko, a native of Germany and Peru, is fluent in three languages: German, Spanish, and English, and brings a variety of international experiences to his profession. He began his career in plastic surgery in 2005, training at the University of Chicago.
He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has given over 100 lectures on plastic surgery nationally and internationally. He has been an associate professor at UC Davis for 12 years and continues to provide surgeries at Shriners Hospital for Children. Dr. Pirko is an award-winning plastic surgeon who has been recognized not only for excellence in patient care, but also for excellence in education and social responsibility. He has published dozens of scientific articles and book chapters; he is also a member of the editorial board and a reviewer of plastic surgery publications. Recently, Dr. Pirko was named one of the “TOP DOCTORS” by SACRAMENTO MAGAZINE.
Dr. Deb Johnson is one of the most respected and recognized surgeons in the plastic surgery community. Dr. Johnson received her medical degree and plastic surgery residency training from the prestigious Stanford University. She continued her education at Clinica Planas in Barcelona and the Institut Français de la Main in Paris.
She is not only certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery but was also elected a Director of this Board, serving as Secretary-Treasurer and Chair of the Continuing Certification Committee. Dr. Deb is a Past-President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. She currently serves as a Trustee for the ASPS and as the Legislative Committee Co-Chair for the CSPS.
Dr. Boone is a native of the southeastern United States, and his medical career began at the Medical College of Georgia. He subsequently completed five years of General Surgery training at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Dr. Boone excelled in his surgical training and was even awarded Consultant of the Year. During his time in Kansas City, he fell in love with the art of plastic surgery, leading him to complete three years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Chattanooga.
He has been recognized on several occasions for demonstrating humanistic qualities in medicine, earning him membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society and a nomination for the Harold Alper, MD, Humanitarian Award at UTHSC Chattanooga. Dr. Boone enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them identify their needs to provide ideal care and help them become their best selves.
Dr. Michael S. Wong, a fourth-generation native of Sacramento, is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast and body contouring, especially for post-weight loss patients. He received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his M.D. from Tufts University, followed by surgical training at UC Davis, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Duke University.
Dr. Wong directed Post-Weight Loss Body Contouring for over 18 years and the Plastic Surgery Residency Program for over 12 years at UC Davis. He is a Professor Emeritus of Surgery at UC Davis and has authored nearly 200 scientific articles and book chapters. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, and a past president of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Stacey Anne Rotta, a board-certified surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, will bring her commitment to teaching and research, ensuring an innovative and up-to-date approach for our patients.
Previously, she has held key roles at Maine Medical Center, where she demonstrated skills in managing burn and trauma injuries. Her commitment to teaching, as Associate Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program, highlights her dedication to the professional development of others.
In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Stacey has contributed to medical research and shared her knowledge at national and international conferences. Her recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and other awards underscore her excellence in the field.
Dr. Bascone is a doctor who specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and is noted for his discipline. He is passionate about facial treatments such as botox and fillers.
Dr. Bascone earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua, West Indies (2016). His multiple fellowships and awards highlight him as a committed professional with a constant desire for constant learning.

Dr. Riolo is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon known for her dedication to helping women regain their bodies and self-esteem through Mommy Makeover surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (1983). She began her career as a nurse, which provided a solid foundation for her medical training and clinical rotations.
She has more than 20 years of experience and during the first five years of her career, she practiced as a breast surgeon doing general surgery and breast plastic surgery, working with breast cancer patients.
