Dr. Corey Bascone, MD, MBA

Dr. Bascone is a professional and experienced physician with training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, general surgery, and hand trauma and reconstruction.

Originally from New York, Dr. Bascone earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua, West Indies (2016). He was an outstanding student, winner of the John Ham Lacrosse Scholarship (2007) in Albany, NY, and received the Distinguished Student Award in lacrosse during his time in college. He is fluent in English as a native language and is proficient in Spanish and Italian. He is a sports enthusiast and is an Ironman triathlete.

 

Education

He completed his medical studies at the American University of Antigua, West Indies. He was a General Surgery resident (PGY1) at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown (2017-2018) and General Surgery resident (PGY2) at the University of Connecticut (UCONN), Farmington (2018-2019). In addition, he was an experimental fellow in plastic surgery at the University of California, Davis, Sacramento, and in microsurgery.

He completed an M.B.A. with a concentration in healthcare administration at Plymouth State University, New Hampshire, where he is also a member of the Honor Society. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany, New York, and was a Herndon B. Lehr Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
