Dr. Jon Wilensky is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience specializing in breast and body contouring. A graduate of the highly competitive BS–MD integrated program at the University of Michigan, he earned his medical degree at age 24 and completed a 6-year plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Health System. He became Board-Certified in 2007, at the time becoming the youngest plastic surgeon to receive certification from the Board.

Dr. Wilensky’s clinical practice focuses on aesthetic procedures of the breast and body, including breast augmentation, breast lift, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, and fat transfer. Known for his ethical, safe, and personalized approach, he brings precision and compassion to every patient interaction.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Wilensky is a nationally recognized innovator in medical technology. He has served as Principal Surgeon in numerous clinical trials involving implantable devices and cellular therapies, working with companies such as GlySens, ViaCyte (acquired by Vertex), VisiCell, CARI Health, Encellin, Aspect Biosystems, and Novo Nordisk. He also holds an MBA from UC San Diego with a focus on disruptive medical technology and co-founded a digital health company later adopted by Apple.

Prior to joining Ideal Plastic Surgery, Dr. Wilensky spent 16 years providing hospital-based care in reconstructive surgery, trauma, burns, and hand surgery at institutions including Palomar Health (a Mayo Clinic affiliate) and Scripps Health.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Wilensky is committed to communicating clearly and compassionately with a diverse patient population.

Outside of his surgical work, he is an avid mountaineer who has climbed Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, and Denali (Mt. McKinley), and completed multiple Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim endurance treks across the Grand Canyon. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
