TORSOPLASTY

PROCEDURE
Torsoplasty surgery usually takes between 4 and 5 hours and is done under general anesthesia. It is an outpatient procedure. The surgeon makes a horizontal incision in the lower back during the surgery to remove excess fat tissue and skin. The resulting scar may be easily concealed beneath the underwear or bathing suit.
RECOVERY
During the recovery process, patients may feel discomfort in the area, but it will improve over time. Intense physical activity should be avoided for 4 or 6 weeks. After such time, exercise may be resumed normally.
RESULTS
Torsoplasty results are immediate. There may be swelling during the first days, but it will progressively fade away. The final result of the procedure will be visible between 3 and 4 months after the surgery.
