Facial Liposuction Surgery Overview
After you are made totally comfortable, Dr.Leong will make a tiny incision well hidden in a chin crease. He will work through this to gently suction excess fat from the area under your chin and the saggy jowls area. An instrument called a cannula is used for this process. Local anesthetic with sedation or general anesthetic is used to keep you comfortable and there is only minor pain associated with recovery. Unless you are combining your liposuction with another facial procedure – such as Implants, a NeckLift or a Mini-FaceLift – your procedure will take about an hour. Some bruising and swelling is normal, but goes away over a few days. Mineral cosmetic make-up will camouflage very nicely while healing takes place.
