Who Is A Good Candidate for Browlift Surgery?
Simply stated – if you are a physically healthy man or woman – with realistic goals and expectations, and you don’t like what you see when you look at your brow area in the mirror – you are likely a good candidate for this surgery.
Will my Browlift surgery take care of the problems around my mouth and neck areas?
No. It addresses the problems above your eyes only. Dr. Leong can perform a FaceLift to correct problems in the mid-face and lower-face. A NeckLift deals with the loose skin referred to as “turkey waddle” of the neck.
Where will my browlift surgery be done?
Dr. Leong will perform your Browlift surgery in a state-of-the-art, out-patient surgery center, or at one of several outstanding Pittsburgh area hospitals where Dr. Leong has admitting privileges to perform facial plastic surgery.
What anesthesia will Dr. Leong use?
In most cases general anesthesia will be used for BrowLift procedures.
Are the incisions well hidden or clearly visible?
Incisions are well hidden within the hairline for endoscopic surgery. Endoscopic procedures create smaller incisions and require shorter healing time.
Will the incisions leave scars?
Yes. But Dr. Leong minimizes the size and visibility of the incisions – so your scars will be well hidden and not even noticeable.
What can I expect to look like after my browlift surgery?
Swelling, bruising & some numbness are normal but fade quickly because of the advanced techniques Dr. Leong uses. Camouflage, mineral make-up works well to conceal discoloration while it fades.
When will I be able to return to work?
Most of Dr. Leong’s patients are presentable to return to work within 7-10 days. Timing also depends upon the extent of your surgery and whether you combine your BrowLift with other procedures.
Will I be able to return to normal activity right away?
No. You will need to avoid strenuous activity for a few weeks – until healing is complete.
How soon will sutures be removed?
Dr. Leong typically uses absorbable sutures. If permanent sutures are used they are typically removed within one week.
Remember: If it doesn’t look natural – it doesn’t look good. Dr. Leong is skilled in achieving the most natural looking results possible - he’s a specialist and you can trust your face to him.
