Tear Trough Correction Pittsburgh

As we age, a hollowness often develops below the eyelid that is caused by upper cheek fat loss and sagging of the cheek (called midface decent).  For patients who desire a non-surgical solution to the tear trough deformity, Dr. Leong recommends the use of Hyaluronic Acids such as Restylane® and Juvederm®. These fillers are very soft and can be used in this area while minimizing the risk of the small lumps that have been noted with other techniques. Because the skin is very thin in this area, it is critical to use the correct filler and have an experienced facial plastic surgeon, plastic surgeon, or dermatologist perform the procedure. For more information, call one of our offices located in Pittsburgh Southside Works, Sewickley, and Ligonier.
