As we age our lips lose their fullness and begin to droop and become thin. The corners of the mouth may sag, while fine lines and wrinkles appear. Dr. Leong recommends lip augmentation to patients who want to turn back the clock and restore a more youthful appearance to their lips. Materials used today to enhance lips include Hyaluronic Acids such as Restylane® and Juvederm®, Fat Transfer, using your own fat, and alloplastic implants such as Gortex.™ Today’s implants are softer and create a natural look which can be either temporary or permanent.
